Well, I'm kind of a matchmaker over here. Recently, a friend reached out because she and her husband found a home they'd had their eyes on for a few years! It was their dream home on a lake, and they just had to be patient…That time came finally, and the neighbors called to let them know. The problem was they needed to sell their home first, and those sellers didn't want to wait for them to get their home ready to list and sell first…
When I got the call, I went into action. First, I tapped into my Tribe—friends, agents, and well-connected locals. They needed some creative juices and a roll-o-dex (yup, I'm THAT old!) of people to reach out to. That's sort of my superpower 🦸🏼♀️. A quick, low-key post in a neighborhood FB group got the buzz going, and the calls started pouring in.
Next, I scheduled just 4 hours of previews, posted a few behind-the-scenes clips on my stories, and set up a simple landing page for interested buyers. No MLS, no mass marketing—just strategic matchmaking and my network doing what it does best. ✨
The basic gist of the story is that from the first meeting with the seller to closing day, it was 33 days! That's crazy fast 💨 even in a HOT market with mass exposure by listing in the local MLS and syndicating it to over 800 other website… This was just me. There for every showing (all 4 hours), every inspection, contractor meeting, you name it. I was there.
